Thomas Jackson
When I was a kid my Mum put me in an after school program. The woman who ran the program found that the best way to deal with my ADD-ness was to put a large pile of butcher’s paper in front of me. I’d draw a whole world of different species and create a backstory for each one. My Mother still has them, actually.

Born in Bolton UK, Thomas Jackson, moved to Sydney as a child and was instantly drawn to the natural wildlife. He remains inspired by Australian animals and landscapes to this day, as well as by scientific plant and animal specimens, entomology and taxidermy. Thomas puts a modern take on the ‘Natural History Illustration’ style, painstakingly creating smaller scale works for galleries and then translating these into large-scale public murals. He has created beautiful pieces for Bluesfest, Dry July, Bacardi, Bundaberg Rum, Red Bull, Mambo, Big Day Out and many more.
