Stefan Hunt
I was an introverted kid. My dad recalls me waking up at dawn everyday and walking to my art table where I would draw and draw until my Weet-Bix were served up by Mum. I still do this, but now I make my own Weet-Bix.

Illustrator and Film Director, Stefan Hunt, wishes he had rainbow crayons for fingers, a bit like Edward Scissorhands. “Maybe everyone could call me Stefan Crayonhands” he thought. But unfortunately it just didn’t have the same ring to it and also, he wasn’t genetically predisposed to having crayons for fingers. The next best thing he could do was draw pictures. Often creating through the eyes of a child, his illustrations are naive yet poignant, and a reminder that we were all once children. His favourite subject matter is death, as it puts everything into perspective and is the most universal truth we all share. In 2017 Stefan launched his most ambitious creative project, We’re All Going To Die. Consisting of a published book, a short film and sold out multimedia art festival in Sydney, Australia, it aims to empower people to fear less and live more. The festival has since toured New Zealand and the USA.
