Elliott ‘Numskull’ Routledge cites his experiences with people, the mediocrity of life, and weird and wonderful everyday events as the inspiration for his work.
Having spent a lot of time practising colour theories, he takes the relationships between colours and patterns and flips them just enough to create bold yet harmonious compositions. His work has been described as a balance between expressive mark making and abstract form.
Elliott has installed large-scale public murals, and has shown in galleries across the world including London, Vienna, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Singapore, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, and extensively throughout Australia.
